Wim Hoff Session
Discover the benefits of guided breathwork and cold exposure (ice bath) in this 2 hour class by Certified Wim Hof Method Instructor Merrill Cushman. By the end of this class, you will understand why the Wim Hof method has changed the lives of thousands of people around the world. You will be guided through 4 rounds of Wim Hof breathwork followed by an Ice bath (optional) so you can feel the benefits come to life. Finally, have the tools to successfully and safely practice at home. The combination of the breathing exercises and ice bath is able to reset one’s nervous system, focus and calm the mind, boost dopamine and motivation, and help with recovery and energy levels.

What are the benefits? Can I ice bathe and do breathwork if… Consult a medical professional beforehand if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a medical history of heart disease, low or high blood pressure, circulatory problems, cardiovascular issues, or epilepsy. Breathwork can elicit strong emotional reactions that are perfectly normal and safe.

He discovered the power of breathwork and cold exposure on a starry summer night in August 2020, after struggling with five months of debilitating depression and anxiety. That evening, after doing 15 minutes of Wim Hof breathing, he experienced a profound shift—it was the first time in months he wasn’t overthinking, worrying about the future, or dreading the next day. While he continued to practice the method intermittently, he didn’t fully commit to it.
Then, in January 2022, after a particularly intense morning of taking Adderall and scrolling on his phone to the point where his feet went numb while sitting on the toilet, Merrill made a life-changing decision: he would go all-in with the Wim Hof Method. This meant waking up every day to begin his routine with breathwork, followed by a cold shower and meditation—every single day. His hypothesis was simple: “If my mind and body could become truly familiar with the sensations of suffering, could I rewire them to experience the emotions of happiness, strength, and health until those emotions became who I am?”
Within just three months, Merrill had gained 20 pounds of muscle, rediscovered his passion and joy for life, and landed his dream job at a travel company. He attributes these changes to his unwavering commitment to his health and well-being, the clarity of having a greater vision for his life, and the transformative power of the Wim Hof Method.
