Slow it Down

"Reiki & Restore" is a unique and restorative class that blends the healing energy of Reiki with the gentle and restorative postures. This practice is designed to promote relaxation, release tension, and restore balance in both the body and mind.
In this class, participants will begin with restoritive yoga, which involves holding passive poses for an extended period to deeply stretch connective tissues and promote flexibility. The slow pace allows for introspection and mindfulness, helping individuals to tune into their bodies and release stored tension and stress.
As the restoritive postures are held, a certified Reiki practitioner may offer hands-on or hands-off healing sessions, channeling universal life force energy to enhance relaxation and facilitate healing. This gentle energy work complements the restorative nature of Yin Yoga, allowing participants to experience a deep sense of calm and rejuvenation.
"Reiki + Yin" is suitable for everyone, regardless of experience level, and is particularly beneficial for those seeking to reduce stress, enhance emotional well-being, and cultivate a greater sense of connection to themselves. Expect to leave the class feeling deeply relaxed, balanced, and re-energized, with a renewed sense of peace and wellness.

In a Restorative practice, each posture is fully prop-supported and held for 5-10 minutes. The focus of this practice is not the quantity of poses, but rather the quality of poses.
This class allows your body to slip into the Parasympathetic nervous system, which simulates rest. In turn, you’ll experience a decrease in cortisol levels, improvement of sleep quality, release of tension, and you will create a balance within the nervous system.
Expect calming music, low lighting, soothing lavender towels, and a gently heated room. -
"Slow Flow" is a serene and mindful yoga class that invites participants to move through a sequence of postures at a gentle pace, promoting awareness of breath and body. This class combines the fluid movement of Vinyasa with a focus on alignment and intentionality, allowing practitioners to cultivate mindfulness and connect deeply with each pose.
In a "Slow Flow" class, participants can expect to engage in a variety of poses that are carefully linked together in a smooth, flowing manner. The slower tempo encourages deeper exploration of each posture, fostering strength, flexibility, and balance while reducing the risk of injury. Instructors often offer modifications and variations, making the class suitable for all levels, including beginners.
As the class unfolds, students are encouraged to tune into their breath, finding harmony between movement and stillness. This mindful practice allows individuals to release tension, calm the mind, and cultivate a sense of inner peace.

"Yin Yoga" is a slow-paced and deeply restorative practice that focuses on the connective tissues of the body, such as ligaments, joints, and fascia. This class invites participants to hold a series of passive poses for an extended period, typically ranging from three to five minutes, allowing for deep stretching and relaxation.
In a Yin Yoga class, participants can expect a gentle flow of seated and supine postures that encourage a meditative state and promote mindfulness. Unlike more dynamic styles of yoga, Yin emphasizes slowing down and tuning into the body, creating space for introspection and emotional release. The use of props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks helps to support the body and enhance comfort during longer holds.
This practice is suitable for all levels, including those new to yoga, as well as experienced practitioners seeking to balance more intense workouts. Yin Yoga is particularly beneficial for increasing flexibility, improving circulation, and calming the nervous system, making it an ideal addition to any fitness routine.
Expect to leave the class feeling rejuvenated, centered, and more attuned to your body and mind. Yin Yoga offers a unique opportunity to unwind, release tension, and cultivate a sense of peace and tranquility that lasts well beyond the mat.
